Wordstitch Editorial Services is a professional and friendly service providing editing, project management and proofreading to individuals, businesses and publishers. We offer a range of efficient and cost-effective services, working on your document to ensure that it has the highest standards of accuracy, readability, and fitness for purpose and intended readership.
Wordstitch's editor is Hazel Harris, an ordinary member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP) and full-time freelance. She has over five years' combined experience in publishing and the book trade, including in-house.
The main services offered by Wordstitch are project management, copy-editing (on-screen) and proofreading (on-screen or on paper), and these are complemented by the following skills and knowledge:
- Contributed books
- Illustrated books (including author CRC)
- Indexing of reference citations (author indexing, not subject indexing)
- Liaising with authors and editors
- On-screen editing: templates, styles and macros
- Proof collation
- Reference styles
- Rewriting
- Scientific units, symbols, Greek characters, etc.
- Style guides (creation and implementation)
